Week 1: June 4 - June 8, 2001
On the first day introductions were made,
a VOLWS orientation was completed and the crew was presented with
E-team concepts and previous projects completed by the past teams.
Tuesday morning was spent covering WCB
safety training, including the plans and procedures implemented
at VOLWS. In the afternoon, the team visited Rock Bay, Cecelia Creek,
Millstream Creek, and Gorge Park to view previous work done by E-teams
and what work needs to be done. Team photos for the web page were
taken at some of the sights.
On Wednesday, St. John's Ambulance emergency
first aid was completed by all members.
Thursday morning was spent doing various
tasks including changing the VOWLS E-team web pages, designing M3
logos, and entering data for Rock Bay. Later in the morning, at
the Coast Guard base, the M3 Zodiac was cleaned and scrubbed in
preparation for putting on new logos. After lunch safety binders
were started, one each for the office and for the boat, the web
page was finished and uploaded, and more logos were finished.
On Friday, a wooden boat was painted,
the sailing boat was prepped for the Buckaneer's parade, the building
